The Road To Here

Life is a crazy long, beautiful, winding road. Sometimes there are forks in the road, mergers and exits. The trip is always better with family and friends though! The is a journal of our journey, downsizing and traveling over North America. My hopes are to keep this short, sweet and stay connected with our loved ones on our travels. Please reach out anytime or let us know if we can meet up!Let’s start at the beginning… 2008: I moved to Long Beach for work and went to the local bike shop to see if there were any group rides to help me train for my 1st triathlon. Long story short; I met the love of my life, Chris. He was one of the fastest guys in the group, he stayed at the back of group with me but pretty sure it was just to watch my booty. 4 years down the road, we said “ I do” and vowed to love each other forever. 3 years further down the road, we welcomed; Archer, our first son. Then with surprise, we were prego again! This pregnancy was nothing like the 1st. After 5months of bed rest and 11 trips to the hospital we welcomed a healthy baby boy; Lemmy. He was worth every minute of bedrest; but that brings us here. Our family lost almost 1/2 a year trapped in our home. One night Chris and I looked at each other and had the same idea… let’s travel for a while. The idea was planted! We had no real plan but had to figure out the major things… you know all that boring stuff; work, mortgage payments and insurance. We started looking at motor homes… wowzer! Motor homes are so expensive and not a whole lot to them, unless you spend over $150k and that’s not in the budget. We found a bus builder! Solution to all our problems. Can’t find it… custom build it. Now we let’s sell everything and take off on the road!
